home for a few days

so today is monday the 30th, all hallows eve. my first actual day of doing nothing in a while, it was pretty great. i slept so much, i got up at like 1, hung out for a while and just slept a whole bunch.

but enough of my nothingness, more about the last week of tour that i didn't tell you about yet. the next day after i wrote last was detroit and it was the beginning of things getting better. we had a good time there, a bunch of kids showed up. i was nervous about the van getting stolen or broken into, but they had people watching it, so it was fine. after the show we stayed with mike and ellen and adam, and went out to taco bell and the supermarket and dyed george's hair and all the usual fun stuff we do when we're there, it was a really good time. i ate a pomegranite that was very delicious, i had never eaten one before, i t was kind of hard to do, but so worth it.

the next day was akron ohio, which was pretty fun again, about the same as the night before... but it was great because the feed the band tour, minus sound the alarm, had the pleasure of staying at the walter residence for the evening. its alwawys a good time coming to my parents house because of the food and everyone loves the dark basement and sleeping forever.

altoona was after akron and it was pretty fun too, the night consisted of... me playing guitar with permanent me, lots of crazy costumes, delicious sheetz, and then a cake fight for max's birthday at the end. i wasn't involved in the cakefight, but i watched and made fun of people for being involved.

that night, we stayed at brian from sound the alarm's house. it was so funny to meet his parents and his brother, who all look exactly like him, and are just as short. they were all awake at 4 am to greet him, because they hadn't seen him in like 6 months or something. they were very nice, and very excitable... i just wanted to sleep, but they wanted to ask lots of questions. the next day at the show i said hello to brian's parents and they ignored me, so that was weird too... but the show was great, alot of fun, and we came out to the beastie boys. dan checked all of our guitars and everything, and then he went back and turned on the ipod and we walked out and played, it was pretty cool to do that for once. at the show, there was lots of ping pong going on, and a ridiculous wrestling match, it was defnitely a memorable last night of tour... it was sad to leave permanent me and sound the alarm, we all became real good friends on this tour.

after the show i drove the 5 hours BACK to pittsburgh. we got in at about 6 or 630, and just slept for a solid 4 hours. i got up early the next day and went to go see my pop pop. he's in a nursing home-type place. he's been falling a lot and not talking much and a few surgeries since i had seen him last. when i saw him in the summer he seemed great, he was talking to nicole and me. he was awake and everything, but this time he didn't joke around as much or stay awake for most of the visit. it was kind of sad, but it was really good to see him. the few times he would joke around or talk, it was great to see him like that again at least for a bit.

the show that night was real fun. punchline is always fun to hang out with. i'm pretty pumped to go on tour with them and spitalfield and blg and over it, its going to be so much fun. i've started to have more fun on tour, it used to just be working the whole time, but its been alot of fun these days, a lot less stressful and i'm pumped for this next tour especially. after the show everyone left except for me, i wanted to stick around and see my pop pop again... so the next day pj gave me a ride home becaeuse he was headed this way anyway to come see his girlfriend.

we got in last night and almost immidiately went to see a show, it was this day and age's last show in philly, they're breaking up, so we went... bryan, nicole and i. the show was pretty fun, we got to see some friends i haven't seen in a while. and then afterwards i went to sean mundy's halloween party dressed as oscar the grouch... ill have to post pictures of it later. it was a pretty fun time... george was raiden, sean was blanka.... lots of good costumes were there. ill have to post a few pictures later...

anyway, ill post pictures from the whole tour in a bit and some more stuff...
