the championship!

Its been a while, as usual. And as usual, we’ve been really busy. This tour has been so great so far. Every show has been so fun. Jersey, Connecticut, Boston, Long Island, and Baltimore have all been great.

Since I caught up on lost, I left the show last night to go see the last episode of the 3rd and a half season. It was real sweet, a lot of people were mad about it, but I was into it.

The show in Long Island was pretty insane. The promoter didn’t show up till like 3 hours after he was supposed to. There were about 250 kids sitting outside waiting to get in. Steve had the brilliant idea to hand out candy to all the kids in line, that was pretty hilarious, and then we played some acoustic sets. Over it, then punchline, then us, then blg and then spitalfield, we all did it, and it was pretty fun. I don’t think EVERYONE stayed, but it ended up being a great show by the time the show started. We had a really fun time, even though we had to cut everything short and rush it, so we could be done on time, it was still a lot of fun.

All I’ve been doing lately is watching Futurama. Christian brought the dvds, so I’ve watched like 15 discs full of it so far, its pretty ridiculous… but I’ve also been listening to some new music I got and in between Futurama episodes, reading this book that I borrowed from Will. This book is good its called ‘the perks of being a wallflower.’ It’s this guy writing all these letters as he goes through high school… for some reason I always like these coming of age stories like that. Catcher in the Rye was one of my favorite books.

I’m boring everyone, but that’s just the kind of guy I am, I haven’t done anything exciting in the last week or so. Hopefully next week something crazy will happen to tell you about ha. I’m planning on seeing Borat on Monday, I know tj is down, I hope all the rest of the bands will go, that would be a real good time.

Right now I’m listening to the silver jews. I’m playing chess because I can’t find my book in this mess of a van, I’ll have to go and find it next time we stop. We just went to wal mart, I wanted to get an external hard drive, but I didn’t feel like spending 80 bucks today… I’m going to sometime soon anyway, I should have just gotten it.

Anyway, we’re about to pull up to the venue in Lemoyne, so I must go, but ill post more soon. Adios.

1) I missed your CT show. I got so excited too, because it was going to be the first time since april that i we be able to watch your set. But no, cars just can't be reliable these days. Gah, i was so upset.

2) Your spelling skillz are insane. "it was still a *space* lot of fun" :D

3)Coming of age. That's all my old english teacher used to talk about. That was the theme of every single book i read that year. The whole phrase almost makes me vomit now. ;]

By the way, my friend's all time favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Aaaand her second is Catcher in the Rye.

You two should have some crazy intellectual discussion about them =]

Your photos are spectacular Brendan. And we loved the Baltimore show, but it's not fair that you got to watch LOST, that's my show, and I missed it to watch all the bands. Just not fair. I still haven't watched the fall finale, I better do that.
