tour journal

the past few shows have been so much fun. such great crowds and good friends. shippensburg was a lot of fun, the crowd was small and we didn't get to play good old altoona (which was a bummer) but the show was still a lot of fun. that night we drove to my house and stayed with my parents, which is always a good time, even if only for a few hours.

buffalo show was next and we had such a good time. the crowd was really fun and we had a really good time hanging out afterwards with people. it was nates birthday and we did a sick birthday jump on stage and then went to applebees to celebrate. no one else in my band wanted to go so i rode with sing it loud and it was really fun. nate and i stayed up till 7 am driving and he was showing me some music and i showed him some... i was tired but it was fun. the next day we woke up and drove to the show in vermont, but it was quite an adventure to get there. we drove to where the gps told us to go, but it was an abandoned ferry.. and we had to go '50 miles around' according to charlotte sometimes. then we hung out at this gas station for a little bit and charlotte sometimes decided to drop off the show so it was just us going and we had to find this crazy ferry on our own. we got there and it was like 50 bucks to ride it over, ben said things like 'if you wanna get with a famous dude, come to the show' to the toll lady. and other things like 'don't give up hope, you are somebody' to others. but we finally made it (2 hours late) and everything went fine.

the vermont show was so sweet. we never played there before and there were so many people there and they all went crazy. george allegedly broke some kids nose... there were people climbing on other people, we were jumping off of really high things and just going nuts... it was so much fun. also, george (grandpa old) an allison came to the show which was good to see them.

last night we just hung out in the hotel and watched these crazy ninjas on tv and then starwars episode 2. we were huge nerds, but it was great. then today we had a super deluxe day off, which is my favorite kind of day off. we ate so much delicious food... (a la spikes hot dogs, some delicious vegan buffalo chicken and vegan brownies) it was pretty excellent. i also bought a bunch of sweet clothes which is a great attribute to any day off!



some other cool things about today were: we announced our UK tour dates in a few weeks and also our all time low tour dates... it's gonna be a great summer. i'm really looking forward to going to england, it's gonna be sweet.

there is an artist who thinks that art means to take a stray dog... bring him into a gallery, tie him to the wall and watch him die and starve to death. it's really messed up and i hope you'll sign the petition.
