on the way home

last night was chicago. the last night of the tour. we actually got there on time, which was pretty insane. we were actually pretty early i think.. it was impressive. us and new atlantic loaded in and got out stuff all set up. and then punchline showed up, and we found out that jon smith was sick... which sucked, i felt bad for him. he was apparently sitting in the van since that morning... almost 10 hours total, just sitting in the van. being sick on tour is the worst so i hope he gets better. but anywho... the merch set up was real sweet, the venue has their own 'store' for merch and everything it was cool.. the metro is such a huge place, i was nervous at how it would be. i really really liked it there though. the idea of it reminded me of the troc, but not as long... but it was cool, i dug it. we played 3rd becuase there was a local. the local band was amazing, a 3 piece that reminded me of like alkaline trio almost, they ruled.

right before new atlantic went on, chris and i made a bet for things for each other to do on stage and so did jd and dave. if chris did the spinal tap and airheads move, then i had mouth obesene things... and if dave did the reverse headbang, then jd had to put his guitiar behind his neck and and play and hump the air.... luckily, dave and chris wussed out. haha but i'm pretty sure even if they did it, jd and i would have chickened out too...

anyway, we played, and it was one of my favorite shows on this tour yet.. nah DEFINATELY my favorite. the kids were amazing.. singing along, moving around, jumping, clapping, participating. it was so good. i couldn't hear anything on stage, and i felt like we didn't play that great (and so did max), but it was just so much fun... it was sweet. cute is what we aim for played really well too, despite shaant being sick... and punchline, as usual, played a great set.

the whole show was awesome, and the backstage situation was so sweet, we got food, and internet and everything haha.. what more could you ask for. and since it was ou rlast night we all had a good time just hanging out.... and we even got some of chris' pumpkin pie. after the show we went to the bar next door with punchline and new atlantic. i went in and got kicked out for being too young... which doesn't make any sense why they would point me out of everyone... but what can you do. so i sat outside and waited until everyone got done inside, which took forever. slowly everyoone left, first punchline, then bachta, then a few of our guys went to go see how jd was doing with katie, and apparently, it wasn't going well haha. so.. because of the akward situation there, we had to sleep in the van in front of the venue.

the whole night the stupid security guards were knocking on our van and opening the doors and just being overall annoying. i couldn't sleep at all, not only because of that, but i had to go to the bathroom and i was cold. it was just overall not a fun experience... but what can you do.

anyway. about the amazing tour. we had the best time of our lives. cute is what we aim for, new atlantic and punchline are now life long friends. i am really pumped that i now have some people in pittsburgh to call up and hang out, perhaps do some bowling with pj and chris, or maybe go see chris' dog, or even get some 50 cent slices with steve and nick at michael's right next to their house. i'm also really pumped to have gotten to know the guys in new atlantic, they are some of the most hilarious people i've ever met, and i'm gonna miss hanging out with them alot. cute is what we aim for are also some of the funniest dudes, but in a different way. fred and tom are just hilarious little dudes, and jeff and shaant are just overall nice dudes. but i'm definately gonna miss it all.

the worst part is just not playing shows. i am upset that we have almost 2 weeks off from playing shows, i want to be playing all the time, we played almost everyday for 2 weeks straight, and now all of a sudden we're off and out of the routine, doing something TOTALLY different. so its going to be weird.. i am just excited to get back out on the road. hopefully it'll go quickly.

well i've written too much already. so i'm going to get back to SVU
