Hey, give mewithoutYou's album a shot...it is completely soft like you were afraid of, but it's likely their last album and for whatever reason I'm still drawn to listen to it.
The lyrics, while sort of very cheesy-Religious at times, are genius. He is literally writing his own parables in this.
