so picture this... time begins and there is every kind of matter and particles everywhere... any raw material you can imagine is just floating in space. now think of the concept that all of that stuff is going to somehow come together and everything is pre determined. somewhere, it was determined that your would think what you're thinking right now and that i would type this because of the chemical reactions that happened up to this point. and to go further... everything has been determined and can be figured out if you know how the chemicals are going to react and in what order. it's an interesting concept but it's just one theory that people have come up with. not sure if it's true or not, but certainly something interesting to think about.
another concept that i've been thinking about a lot lately is the age old question of 'if a tree falls in the woods and there's no one around to hear it, does it make a song?' now, you're going to say... 'of course... why wouldn't it?' and the answer is because sound is only a reaction with our mind. who's to say that sound is anything more than random vibrations. it could sound completely different, or not make a sound at all if there was no human. same with color. color is only in our minds... the particles are not colored, it's just how it reacts with our eyes that it comes out as color.
well who knows... but i've been reading some interesting stuff lately on quantum mechanics, etc. and it's some really crazy concepts that people have come up with. it's probably not a good idea to bring philosophy and ideology into it, but it's fun to think about either way.
discuss!

this just caught my eye and I want to say. I've only begun to think about it but it has a lot to do with an individuals perception. Things can exist out of ones knowledge. But you can reach that knowledge eventually.
Get to work on your Quantum Physics and hurry up with that time machine for me, Im getting sick of waiting ;)
hahaha.<3
i remember answering the tree-falling-in-the-woods question in 6th grade music class. it doesn't matter if the tree falls (the transmitter) if there is no one to hear it (the receiver). just like you said- all in the mind. it's a good allegory for life. now im gonna be thinkin about that music class all day.
