yesterday was a really, really long day. i woke up aro und 730, got ready and took 2 trains to get to jds. then i drove the 6 hours to boston (it might have taken longer), sound checked, ate the delicious rider we were given, played a show, packed up, drove 6 hours back and arrived at george's house at 630 am. i finally went to sleep and woke up to george saying it was time to go at 430. going to sleep while it's dark and waking up while it's dark is not a good feeling. thank god i don't live in alaska. i woke up and showered and then we played at a college radio station in new jersey. it was surprisingly really fun. the guys were cool who ran the show and it seemed like a lot of people listened despite it being a saturday night. it was cool. we played a few songs and even brought a few discs for them to play. george played i want you by bob dylan, shane played reason to believe by bruce springsteen and this band that he discovered called the choral, and i played last song by matt pond pa (they happened to have it in the studio and it was the only thing i could think of that wouldn't bore everyone if i had played it). after we were done and we walked outside only to find a coating of snow on the ground. it was a site for sore eyes, that's for sure. i hadn't seen snow in ages, my sister in georgia was jealous.

anyway, enough of all that. check out this video of a band called illinois. our good friend dan is in it and i'm really into this video they made. they have this new thing called 'kid catasrophe' where they are releasing a few ''chapters'' of songs and videos like these. i'm really excited to see them all. good work dan and friends:

i hope to one day find out how they did this and emulate it.
