i've forgotten my mantra

i'm sitting here watching annie hall in disbelief that i hadn't discovered this incredible movie before today. so good. we did a recreation of some woody allen scenes in a cinematography class in high school... but i hadn't paid much attention to it all and never really got into it. i think i need to start and watch a bunch more of these movies

anyway... i had a whole thing type up here talking about thanksgiving and listing off the delicious vegan things that we made... but the internet went out and i lost it all. so i'm left with just these photos to show you what we had. i won't retype it but i will tell you that it was delicious.

also in my previous draft there were some thoughts about how i have been torn on what to spend my time on, which i think is more important to talk about than describing my food. this is just sort of an excuse for why i haven't been posting as much and why i haven't been so prolific in my content on this blog or wherever i usually post stuff on the web. i've been having a hard time deciding what is more important to spend my time on. i love writing music, i love making videos, i love taking photos, i love painting i love reading, i love watching movies and so on and so forth.
i have a stack of books on quantum mechanics that i need to get myself into and other books that i want to work on... but where's the time. i have hundreds of unfinished songs on my hard drive, tons of video footage to compile tons of promotional work and even other humans to interact with. it's so hard to find the time... but this is nothing new, it's been an age old test for humans to figure out how to divide their time. in any event... that's just my inner struggle for the week. after spending time with family and friends and having a nice little break, it's time to get back into it all and spend all my time on everything... hopefully a few of those things get done and slip through the cracks and on to you... so keep a look out!

anyway, here are the photos i've taken in the past week... none of the photos from this weekend spent with my family in jersey are up but they will be soon.

here is a weird bowl of incense that alex bought at an occult store. he said it kept him up for days with dreams of blue demons... thankfully i didn't have any of those after witnessing this.

bryan and madison came up. they are the blurry figures in the background.

here's bryan. they were up for the philadelphia marathon and here he is resting up for it. you might think this was just a pose for a photo, but that's how he sleeps.

things.

it was a very cold weekend for their run, as you can see by the thick layers of frost on our window.

just a photo of me using this old camera.

nicole getting ready for horizons. rock on is the book under the mirror, it's by dan kennedy and it's about his time in the major labels in around 2002... it's funny and interesting, i recommend it.

bryan and madison on the subway after registering for the race. they are in focus this time.

crosswords on the subway before horizons.

here is a view from bryan and madisons hotel of liberty one. or is it liberty two? who can ever remember that?

these next few photos are of our food at horizons. we were the obnoxious people who took photos during dinner... but you all needed to see this. everything you are about to witness are the most delicious vegan food items known to man!

bryan's testing out a new way to wear a scarf... way better than that old fashioned way!

contrasty nicole.

my sister danielle and her fiance chris stopped by for the night. they drove up from savannah and while they were driving i was scrambling around doing our dishes and cleaning up for them.

more psuedo-amish.

they sold some of nicoles bakerys bread at the market, so we took some photos.

my nicole impression.

we waited for danielle and chris in their meeting in newtown and here are some of the things we saw. i went to school and grew up around here so we ended up seeing a few farmiliar faces and it was a good trip down memory lane.

a real live card catalogue. dewey decimal system is still in effect in newtown.

mallorys christmas list. she really really really wants bunniez.

nicole, tired from a long thanksgiving day.

so after thanksgiving we went down to the jersey shore to meet up with the walter family. i haven't gotten the pictures loaded up yet but they'll be up soon. the weekend was really fun and it was great to see everyone. thanksgiving is a great holiday.

anyway... time to get back to work on things and writing some music. hopefully i can start waking up earlier. wish me luck!

Good luck!
I also fail at waking up early!
Looks like an awesome Thanksgiving!
I wish we had a Thanksgiving here in Canada... well I guess we had one in October, but it's totally different.

Ugh, I need to get better at waking up earlier, too. :/

Glad you seem to have had a really nice Thanksgiving - looks like it was a blast. :)

Also, I love love love the pictures. Especially this and this and this and lastly this one. Ugh I need to buy a good camera.
