HOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

has 309 ever been construction free? i thought i was in for a smooth right down 309, out to new jersey at 8 oclock this morning when i was headed to drop off the trailer.. but no sir. not today. these past 3 days have been so long, i couldn't believe the things that happened.

first we had to drive from richmond virginia all the way to connecticut. so we drove all through the night, got to shane's house at 630 AM and got a nice cat nap from 630-930 then we got back on the road to head to the last show... when we got our 4th flat tire of the tour... since we had so many flats and no time to get a new spare, we were out of luck. we sat in a hotel parking lot for about 4 hours, just playing the waiting game... and making the video that is posted below.


by the time we got to the show, it was already time to open doors and we were still exhausted... but the show must go on, as they say. in any event, we got it all done and said out goodbyes. by the time we were ready to leave it was 230 AM... and it was time to do it all over again. we turned the van 180 degrees and went the same way we came... no flat tire on the way back, but it was a dreadful trek. we thought we'd never make it home.... finally we got there and i woke up to george asking if i could take the trailer back.. adding 4 more hours and lots more driving until i could finally get to my bed and sleep. i said fine and did it... but i sure wasn't happy. i got some starbucks, forced myself to stay awake and hassled with the guy at the trailer place to get us money off... wasn't really as much as we had hoped, but it was something. finally i made it back, had a delicious vegan meal at horizons and now i'm writing this. i hope you enjoy the video that i made... it was put together very quickly but i thought it was pretty silly anyway...

well anyway, i can't wait to relax at home for a few weeks.. get some practicing done, see some radiohead (again, but the full set this time), eat some good old home cooked food and perhaps be productive and creative. we'll see about all that, hopefully i can accomplish all that i want to in my time off. wish me luck, i'll keep you posted.
