I haven’t felt much like writing blogs lately, but today I got the urge. Some crazy things have been happening on this tour so far. The best show so far was Nashville, we all had a lot of fun. there were about 500 kids a the show and we just had a really great time playing. The show was just very unexpected and a lot of fun. We played little rock Arkansas the other day and it was kinda weird, but it was definitely our Kansas. The show was strange, but kids were really nice. The next night was Oklahoma city, and it was the first time we had ever played there. For the first time ever, it was really great and everyone was re ally nice, at the end of the show, however, we were rushed out due to tornado warnings. It was one of the strangest nights I’ve experienced on tour. We drove about 30 minutes and then stopped for gas. When we stopped everyone was huddled around the tv waiting for reports about when the tornados were going to hit. It was like something out of a movie, a ton of strangers talking and hanging out in a random place, huddled around a tv with blankets and pillows with lights flickering on and off. There were hail stones, the side of golf balls coming down and crazy wind, I could barely stand up outside. I asked the girl if this was a normal occurrence in Oklahoma City and her response was ‘yeah, I live in a trailer park’ I didn’t understand the correlation, but I just went along with it.

Yesterday we drove for about 15 hours from OK city to Tucson, AZ. The drive was long and unpleasant, but we lots of interesting stops, and of course the usual driving past other bands and yelling and making signs towards them. I also ate at P.F. Changs for the first time it was delicious. I’m going to have to go there again pretty soon. Today we’re playing here in Tucson and I’m pretty pumped for it, we haven’t been here in a while. I like Arizona, it’s not a bad state, especially compared to Oklahoma.

Video update is coming soon. And some pictures, I just haven’t had the chance to. I forgot how much driving and how little internet and how much work tour was. I also forgot how much it sucked to listen to mixes of our songs on the road and hve to put notes together at 2 in the morning and have them in by 10 am…. It’s the worst, but it’s all sounding really good and we’re excited about it. Woo!

Time to go

haha...the little rock show. could it of been weird because there was a total of 59 people... and half of them were sitting down? and the venue looked like it was made for a broadway play or something strange like that. i thought it was nice to go to a small more private concert.
glad you guys made it through oklahoma safely....that is pretty crazy.

P.F. Changs is amazing! we have one here in kansas city.

by the way, i am still planing on bringing you and we the kings a soccer ball to warped tour.

hope you have fun on the rest of the tour! see you july 2nd.

Great Show in Oklahoma City. Glad to hear you made it through our weather okay. We are apart of the Tornado Alley and so you kinda get use to them. I think that the venue was stupid for kicking you out.

Anyways, the correlation between tornadoes and trailer parks is that you don't want to live in one during the tornado season. Since trailers don't have a sturdy foundation they are easily picked up by tornadoes. My guess is that is why the girl was hanging out at a gas station because it is safer.

Hope the rest of the tour goes great and don't let a little tornado keep you from coming back.
