i'm not even sure where we last left off but a lot has been going on. we've been sort of going crazy over here trying to get stuff done and all... jd, ariel and i have been locked inside the studio for like 12 hours a day just playing guitar. it's been great and terrible at the same time. we get cabin fever and go to intelligentsia for coffe at least once a day. we also get crazy and make cool sounding guitar effects for fun that sound like organs or even dolphins sometimes. right now we are working on making a song sound like a jackson 5 song in the bridge and it's coming out pretty great.

yesterday in the midst of our cabin fever we went out and ariel went to vote for super tuesday. the voting took place at some community center and there was a little league basketball game going on inside. jd and i watched these little kids play basketball for about 15 minutes and it was incredible. kids were fighting over the ball with their own teammates. the only thing they knew how to shout from the bench was 'shoot it!!!' even if they were on the wrong side of the court. also... the shore was 6-3 when we left at the second half. it was glorious. such a great break from a long day of recording.

another great break from recording that we had was when we found out that pinhead gunpowder was playing nearby. i was so stoked and then immidiately let down when i found out it was sold out. but then i asked kevin if he could get me tickets and he did. it was so sweet. to see billie joe play in front of like 250 kids, was pretty insane. when i was in high school i used to love pinhead gunpowder, i was texting all my high school friends to tell them i was there. pretty funny.

i also come across funny pictures while in the studio and bored on the computer and here's one that i came across today that i thoroughly enjoyed:

the studio we're recording in was where juliette louis and the licks recorded and some other cool things. also the elliot smith figure 8 cover was taken from the front wall of the studio. i thought that was pretty great... that was one of my favorite albums from my high school years as well.

...the songs are probably amazing even though you guys have to spend such a long period of time at once in the recording studio.
