tour journal

since the last time we left our intrepid hero he was returning home for christmas. the next day was the troc show... definitely one of my top all time favorite shows. i had lots of fun, we played a brand new song that i think everyone liked AND i got a singing jingle bells christmas tie. the crowd was having fun and we were having just as much fun. the beginning was very fun... santa came out to the show all the way from the north manyunk and got the crowd going, then we had a huge 1250 person sing-a-long of 10th street. after the show it was great to hang out with all our friends and see everyone we hadn't seen in a long time. thanks again to everyone who came out it meant so much to us. the next few days were a lot of fun too... school of rock was great and we all got light sabers, which ruled. i was the master at the light sabers no one else could beat me. the show in worcester was absolutely insane... i was so proud of four year strong for selling it out and even beyond capacity. the crowd for them was insane and they just tore it up. what a great bunch of guys and a good band. when we were about to go on we had a whole new intro set up and all but the ipod fell in a box and we couldn't get it out so ian went out and introduced us and it was hilarious (i hope there is video footage). the final show was in scranton and santa came again.... he even danced on stage. it was a little bit insane, but ian went out and danced with him.

the next day, nicole and i hopped on a train at 9 am to get on a bus in chinatown to go hang out with bryandar kline (north col). we spent new years down in baltimore and had a real good time. we went to brian mcternan's studio (no big deal) and went to fletchers and watched the fireworks from the roof... it was pretty cold but a good view of the 'works' as they call it down in 'the 'more' as they call it. the next day was deemed the fattest day of all time. we ate cereal and then taco bell and then starbucks and then pei wei and then chocolate and hot chocolate... it was just one long day of eating. in the meantime we got to see brent (the only guy left who says 'tits') and mike (bryan's younger brother)... it was great to have 3/4 of north col in one room... although i have to see them play a show as 4/4 of north col at some point. that night we watched rushmore (great movie) and played cranium which was a really fun game... i recommend you all check it out.

the day after we got back, it was valencia day in new york, some meetings and some delicious food and walking around. i really love walking around in new york, no matter how cold it's always a good time. but the bottom line of this trip was that this next few months and year is going to be very busy and stressful. so many things to worry about now with a new record in the works and all of these things to put in place. hopefully it's all worth it. and hopefully everyone likes the cd as much as we do. in the next week we will be flying to california to finish recording and perhaps back to new york for some other recordings and then perhaps back to LA and then even back and then to the uk... in the meantime working on other things because we still have yet to find a manager. things are getting out of control these days... but i like it. it's better than nothing.

well anyway i must get back to song workings and text twist workings.
