merry christmas

in 20 minutes it will be christmas and i'm very glad to be home. it was quite an ordeal getting here, but i finally made it.

to make a long story short (since i just typed the whole thing up and then safari shut down and i lost it and don't feel like retyping it all) before last night i hadn't gotten more then 3 hours of sleep any night last week. the beginning half of the week i was going to sleep around 6 or 7 am because of how bad my wisdom teeth hurt. and then around 5 or 6 for the latter half of the week. friday we woke up at 10 (for a whopping 4 hours of sleep) and went to finish xmas shopping. afterwards i went to practice with all my bags and presents. then we went to bq's show at a church in doylestown and hung out with grandpa, alison and mike pop. we saw nicole's friend brooke there and hung out for a good while to kill time until we had to leave. we met up around midnight and left for connecticut. we picked up andrew and ian in long island on the way. we stayed at a hotel that we had been to before, which is always kind of a funny thing and the memories you have of random things like the computer at the desk not working the last time so we sat in the parking lot for a while and left. this time the computer worked and we got a room and had to sneak in, but it was alright because it was 6 am and no one cared to yell at us.

the next morning we woke up around 10 and went to the venue. we got there, loaded in and waited around for about 8 or 9 hours until we played. george and i went to a sweet coffee shop with vegan cookies and delicious falafel. we also got to watch the jump song live for the first time in 4 years (the drunkin' beernuts). and met up with many other long time no see friends like just surrender and morning light and all time low and ryan and mrs. wapner. playing was fun too, we got to play a new song we hadn't ever played before and george walked on the crowd. i also didn't wear a tie for the first time in a long time and that was kind of weird, but i think i will again soon. (perhaps). after the show the morning light offered to drive me back to pittsburgh but i declined because i had already purchased a bus ticket and i would get home earlier. they were also going to a party and i was in no condition to be doing any hanging out. so we drove home, stopping in long island again to drop off andrew and ian. we got to george's house at around 6:45. i had them drive me to the train which was coming at 7:05... perfect timing. my train was at 8:20.... i'd get down there at like 7:30.... walk right outside and get my ticket at the station and go. it was all perfect until the train got there an hour late and i had to sit in the cold till 8:05 and then sit on a slow train that didn't get in till 8:45.... then the people at the station had no idea what they were doing and sent me in 5 different lines, to 2 different machines, had me call 3 numbers and go to the office 3 different times before i actually got my ticket. then i had to wait in the bus station for another 3 hours till my bus left. all of this happened on no sleep. and then i had to sit on a bus for about 8 hours, which is always fun too. when i got home, i planned on hanging out with steve and nick revak but my phone died... so we went home and i was gonna charge it. no luck there either, because the power was out and would be out till today at around 12.

should have gone with the morning light. but oh well.... here i am. with my computer and my super fast new 4GB of SDRAM that my parents bought me for xmas, my belly full of delicious food that my parents made for me and having a good old time.
