Hey everyone,
We’re back from tour! The tour was incredible and we met some amazing people and had a great time, but we’re very excited to be back here working on the album. We are continuing to write songs this week and are getting songs together and finishing them up. Starting May 1 we will be in the studio working with Nik and Matt getting things in gear.
I’m going to start today doing some video journals of our writing process and letting you know how things are going. I might make a new song for these updates and a whole new intro… we’ll see if I can, I have lots of things to be doing like writing songs and thinking of ideas to fix up the old songs. It’s going to be crazy couple of months. I’m really pumped for Bamboozle as well… that’s the day when we get to see all our friends (and the light of day) for one quick day and then get back into the dark studio and keep working on songs.
Tonight is Punchline/Permanent Me/The Fold/The Graduate at the church. It also happens to be Chris Fafalios’ birthday so it will definitely prove to be a good night. I’m on my way to practice now, work on some stuff, and then back to the city pronto for the show. I haven’t seen Punchline since the Pittsburgh date of this tour, it’s been quite a while.
Oh and while I’m at it, I figured I would put up some recommendations for music that I have been listening to… so check these out if you get a chance:
1. Coconut Records
2. Regina Spektor
3. Magnolia Electric Company
4. Bonnie “Prince” Billy
5. Illinois
6. M. Ward
7. Chromeo
8. Moldy Peaches
9. Amy Winehouse
10. The Thermals
These are just the top 10 lately… check them out and let me know what you think… and if you have anything more for me to listen to, let me know those too, I always like checking out new things.
Oh and I have new pictures from the tour I still need to get all together and put up for you all… hopefully when I’m not so busy they’ll be up.
Time for practice.
Brendan
