Everything’s been crazy lately.

Thanks so much to everyone who has come out to our shows recently; it’s been so amazing. The let it ride tour is the best tour we’ve ever been on, for sure. I am going to miss Just surrender a lot, but we will definitely tour with them again soon I hope. Their new album is amazing by the way… it’s going to be huge I think, there are songs that remind me of like third eye blind, its so sweet.

Anyway the last week has been really fun. the knitting factory sold out and was insane and so was boston and new haven, it was all just so unreal… everyone was going insane and just having a good time, and so we’ve been having a really good time. Phiilly was a bit of a disaster though. The snow really bummed us all out, the show was only half full, but I was so excited that it was even though, I thought it was going to be like no one there. It ended up being ok, I was really nervous, but it wasn’t so bad. it was just crazy because secret handshake showed up JUST as they were supposed to play, and it was just nuts, same with hit the lights, they showed up a few hours later and it was just l ike so nerve wracking. I still had a really good time though. I got to see Nicole and lots of friends, which is always good in the middle of tour. The Baltimore show was really fun as well… problaby one of my top 10 shows ever. It had been forever since we hung out with bryan dark line and that is always a good time. Before the show, I went over to the mall and bought some new shirts at h&m, so that was pretty good, I haven’t gotten any new clothes in a good while and warm weather is just around the corner, so it was about time. Bryan was gonna meet us there, but the secret handshake ended early so we had to rush over to the stage. We played and I had a really good time… I’ve been having more and more fun on stage these days, which is good. when everyone is singing along and having fun, it just makes it easier on me haha. That night we drove all damn night to Raleigh north Carolina, jd drove the whole way, I dunno if I could have done it. I haven’t been feeling amazing these days, just headaches and sore throats and always tired, so it wasn’t going to work if I drove. But jd made it the whole way and we got into kim’s house at like 730 in the morning. There were a bunch of weird random people sleeping in the room, and so we had to get around them, and then someone’s crazy loud southern parents were there too, yelling and screaming, so it was very hard to get some rest. The show in raliegh was a little strange, everyone just stood there for us and almost everyone, but then everyone was really nice and accepting when I went around to talk to people…. It was just sort of strange. I still had a good time though… I love hanging out at shows with the other bands. Louis hung out in our van for a while and showed us all his new songs and his new album, and I was really impressed, he’s got a cool chromeo/Justin timberlake vibe going on and I was digging it. The show was an early one, so we went out afterwards and went to like 5 different restaurants because they insisted on catering to george and my vegan needs, but we ended up just going to some silly sports bar and pretending we were going to eat, so we didn’t have to move around anymore. It was a fun night though,

Today was a nice little hang out session, about 5 hours of nothingness at kim’s house… just using the crappy wireless internet and making jokes, and the usual. I still wish Christian was on tour though, he would definitely make this tour hilarious.

I’m working on this week’s tour update, hopefully it’ll be good, the last 2 were just sort of getting used to it… I think I’m getting the hang of it this time. Nick and scott fought the other night, I will have to film the rematch and put that up there. I also wanna take new pictures of letters to use for the intro, and maybe get something different going on with it… I also have to make some more background music for the video portions.

Oh and hey did anyone see the videos of our new songs on absolutepunk or youtube by any chance? I just wanted to see what everyone though… the songs aren’t done and they were played very fast, because we were excited haha… but just generally what you thought. We haven’t been writing much lately, because we’re a little bit burnt out from writing for 2 months straight… but I wanna break the guitar our this week and hopefully write a few more tunes… I wrote a sweet r&b sounding song the other day, but that will not be a Valencia-worthy tune haha… but if I finish it, ill let everyone hear it.

Anywho… right now I’m in the van on the way to Atlanta Georgia, I am stuffed full of delicious whole foods salad bar food... and I’m just listening to the flaming lips. It’s really cold because I like it warm and everyone else things that having the van at a nice 50 degrees is good by keeping the windows down. Being around here is reminding me of the matches/action action tour last summer. Those were really good times.
