everything

why hello there

sorry this has been yet again a long time.... i feel like i apologize everytime i get on here.... its not good, but i promise i'll get back into it soon. i'm just in writing mode right now. i feel like everyone who writes songs and things like that should grow a beard while in that mode, so that's what i'm doing right now, its not coming in well at all, it's actually pretty terrible, its been like 5 days and i don't have anything to show for it... but i'm going strong.

anyway, we've been hard at work the last week or so. we've been playing guitars and drums and basses and and pianos and kazoos and lots of other things in preparation for our sophomore album. i used to be pretty nervous abou thow this would come out, but things are flowing pretty well these days. we have about 16 song/ideas that have been coming out... there are about 7 or 8 that are pretty well finished and i'm really pumped about. the rest need lots of work, but that's the most fun part.

here's how the schedule goes. everyday we go to jd's around 1 or 3. we get there and just play music for a while. then we get down to business and work on a few songs, work out any kinks, or new ideas someone might have on an existing song. thennn we all bring our own ideas to the table and we decide which song we wanna work on first and it just flows from there. we've gotten pretty good at just coming up with things while we're home and then piecing it all together at practice and i'm pretty happy about it. at the end of practice, i break out the 4 track recorder and we record the ideas and songs that we did that day. when i get home i send them to everyone so they can listen and change or keep whatever we want. the next day, it starts all over again.

another thing we've been doing is demoing the songs. we've been going to our friend larry's studio in philly and we laid down 4 songs, and have been spending some of our days there just getting a good recording of the songs, hopefully for you all to hear at some point. the studio is insane that we're at.. ac/dc has worked there, tori amos, black eyed peas, the roots... lots of hip hop. the first time we went there we had to leave early because p diddy was flying in to write something with larry for the vma's.... it's a pretty crazy place and we're excited to be there. and i hope you'll get to hear the songs, i took a whole bunch of pictures of us recording and all and ill put them up.. they're not really good but they're just your average pictures of valencia recording haha.... i also took some crappy videos and i want to edit them together so you can all hear some things and see whats going on there....

in other news, i've been watching the show heroes a lot, its a great show, bryan dark line reccomended it to me, its alot like lost, which is also an amazing show.its getting me pretty pumped for the new seasons of both of t hose shows. oh and i watched every episode of the office as well. this website www.yourtvlinks.com is the best thing in the world, and i reccomend that all of you go check it out as well. nicole has had pink eye, but i didn't get it. my mom and dad sent us some of my pop pop's world famous potato candy, and some other stuff so we had that and it was delicious.

and that's really about all that's been going on here.. ohhh and i've been trying to catch back up on myspace stuff, like comments and mesasges and all that jazz, it doens't sound like much, but its insanity of there in myspace land. i have over 2000 messages in our inbox that need to be responded to and comments and adding peopple, its really just insanity. hopefully i won't lose too much sleep over it, but i'm sure i will
