thanksgiving/top 100

so yesterday was thanksgiving and we had a really good time. after the dallas show, spitalfield, punchline and us all coordinated to stay together and spend our thanksgiving together. we all stayed in hotels close to each other. in the morning we went to wal mart and got some stuff and walked around for a while, then we drove to a town called midland. we got there and drove around for a while looking for places that were open and we only found 711. i thought we were going to have more luck, it seemed liek a pretty big city... but there was nothing. our chances of having an awesome thanksgiving started to look pretty bleak. next, we decided to drive to a town called odessa, and when we found nothing there we said wal mart and doing a cookout would be the best bet. on the way to wal mart, we found a sweet 24 hour denny's which was right by a high school. we played some football (my team won twice, no thanks to me) for a good while, worked up a gigantic hunger, and then back to denny's. we finished our video blog and we're gonna put that up today sometime, and chris also did another youtube called 'what are you thankful for and what are you getting?'. most people said they were thankful for their friends here and that they were getting the turkey dinner. i didn't get the turkey and i didn't say i was thankful for friends, i just said i was thankful to have a great thanksgiving so far from home and for our team winning twice, and i got a boca burger on a bagel, seasoned fries, steamed vegetables and hot tea. it was a pretty delicious meal, afterwards i had some apple pie.

thanksgiving was pretty sweet desptie not being home the second year in a row. i almost expected it this year. i called home and they seemed to be having a good time, i wish i could have seen my grandpop though he was pretty funny... he just kept talking about how he didn't give a shit about turkey but he wanted some pumpkin pie. last time i saw him he was sleepy and out of it, but he seemed to be having a good time, and i hope when i get back he'll be in the same or even better form.

well anyway, i just wanted to write about our awesome thanksgiving and i hope yours was as good or better.

also... i have a list that i made, for you all to check out. in houston the other night we ate at a place and we had a long chat about music and movies and our favorites of all of them. steve and chris from punchline both showed me their top 100 songs and i decided i would make one of my own. here's an idea of it.. it's not really the best list ever, but i like it and its a good idea of what i love in music. i could and should probalby add or subtract things so give me your suggeestions. i am also starting a list of top albums and movies and books, but i dunno if i'll do that anytime soon.

Ha...first again. ;) I liked that Chris Fafalio's Kramer episode. I always knew he didn't care about black people....lol. Sorry about you guys being away from home for Thanksgiving, I was too. I really liked your song list! There's a bunch of songs on there that really mean a lot to me too. I asked the record label owner where the Pixies are signed about the begining of "where is my mind", and if it's a human sound. He said it was human and machine, which made me mad because I've been trying to duplicate it for a while. Oh well. Happy Thanksgiving!

i love that song and my favorite line is "i wanna taste the breeze of every great city." you're lucky you get to do that on tour!

i'm glad you had an awesome thanksgiving. =]

in terms of the smiths, i totally thought i'd see "bigmouth strikes again" (which is my favorite next to "ask"), haha. but you pinned three of my favorite songs down in the first three songs, take on me is hands down my favorite song ever.

Counting Crows - Perfect Blue Buildings
John Mayer - Belief
John Mayer - Slow Dancing In a Burning Room

I could go on for days but those are afew of my favorites.

Oh yeah if I knew you were vegan when you were in Orlando I would've told you about this vegan/vegetarian Chinese place nearby downtown. There's always nextime so you can take a break from taco bell. lol

I would just like to say how much I can't stand the song Clocks. By the end of it, I'm about realy kill someone. Dead serious. It's sad too, because they have such amazing music..but that one song.
