st. louis

yet again i'm on someone else's computer so no pictures yet again this time. the drive's been crazy, we did like 20 hours since yesterday... we went all through wyoming and nebraska and made it to kansas city where we went in search of a mall. the first mall we saw on the map was demolished when we got there... so we went to a store called wild oats and had some delicious vegan jerky. we went to the next mall we saw on the map and THAT one was demolished too.... it was ridiculous. we were beginning to think there was no hope. so we decided to try one more and it was actually there...

we encountered a few crazy things... one was a dead owl in a city. i've never seen an owl in person normally, let alone a dead one... and the last place i excpted to see one was in a populated area. so that was kinda weird. and also we kept thinking of places to stay in kansas city and we kept trying to think of these dudes from a band called gametime who we stayed with once out there, and played a bunch of shows with back in the day and they even stayed at my parents house one time. they were some of the nicest and funniest dudes ever... but we didn't have any of their numbers. when we got to the mall though... we randomly saw nick, the dude with the xbox liscense plate walking around, it was the craziest coincidence... but an awesome one. he was real nice and tried to hook us up with a place to stay and all which was awesome.

in the end though we decided to drive to st. louis and go see tokyo rose play. we thought maybe they would be able to help us out with a place to stay or something but the guy they were staying with didn't have much room. it was good to see t rose. randomly, our friend john showd up. i completely forgot he lived here and he helped us out with a place to stay so we're at his friend's house right now... it's pretty sweet. so we're just trying to figure out who take on to warped tour.
